Official Philanthropies:

Prevent Child Abuse America, Jewish Women International & Women for Women.

With every semester that comes and goes, the sisters of Sigma Delta Tau work enthusiastically to raise money for causes that we feel strongly about. Unlike other organizations, Sigma Delta Tau dedicates itself to raising money for Prevent Child Abuse America, the Jewish Women International, and Women for Women. Each semester, the sisters strive to raise awarness and money for each and every one of our philanthropies through tabling and events around campus. During the fall semester, we hold an annual Powder Puff Football tournament and in the spring, we host a male beauty pagent called Sig Delt Sweetheart. Last year, we managed to raise $800 for Prevent Child Abuse America just in the spring! Recently, we have locally begun to raise awareness for another cause, Multiple Sclerosis, because it had affected the hearts of our chapter . We managed to raise around $3,000 at the MS 2014 Walk!

Every Spring semester, the sisters of Sigma Delta Tau host a pagent where men from other organizations come together to compete for the hearts of the Sig Delts. With three rounds to prove themselves, these men show off their extordinary talents, their thoughts on current topics, and tell us a little about themselves to win over our hearts as well as the crowd.

M.S. Walk

During the spring, the Plattsburgh community hosts a M.S. walk. As this is a cause close to our hearts, we strive to participate each year in this event and raise money to help find a cure.

O.P.I Nail Polish Fundraiser

Throughout the school year, the sisters of Sigma Delta Tau sell nail polish specifically for the Sigma Delta Tau sorority to help raise money for the JWI organization.
