Why I joined:
Coming to Plattsburgh, I never gave much thought to joining a sorority. But sophomore year after attending Sigma Delta Tau's first rush event of the semester, I immediately felt so welcomed and comfortable and knew I wanted to be a part of this amazing organization. I literally remember calling my mom after the first rush event saying, "Mom, I'm in love"... and I am! SDT has allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone by getting involved on campus and taking on leadership positions. Since joining, I have met the most genuinely beautiful group of women that I get to call my sisters, and I will forever be thankful to Sigma Delta Tau for all of the friendships, memories, and opportunities it has provided me. My only regret is that I didn't rush sooner!

Why I joined:
From the first rush event, I knew Sigma Delta Tau was the perfect sorority for me! I wanted to make my college experience meaningful and so far the sisters of SDT have done that for me. All of us come from different backgrounds and we all have different goals to pursue in life but there is one thing that we will forever share, that is the special bond brought on by Sigma Delta Tau. Not only does SDT offer a home away from home, but it also supports sisters to get involved on campus and within Plattsburgh community. Love in SDT!

Sigma Delta Tau has helped me become more of an active member in my school and community. My initial reasoning for joining was to feel like i was more involved on campus and to really connect with more people that had the same ideals as me. "Growing up, I never knew what it was like to have siblings. I knew going into college that I wanted sisters that would be there for me for the rest of my life. The mix of different personalities made me instantly fall in love with Sigma Delta Tau after the first rush event. Each sister brings something interesting that keeps everything we do fun and crazy. Since joining, the sororities made me want to do more and has pushed me to be the best I can be as well as meeting my best friends that I'll have for the rest of my life. Joining this sisterhood was the best decision I have made in my life!"
